Gambling Commission

An independent statutory decision-making body established under the Gambling Act .

Role — what the Gambling Commission does

They:

  • license casino operators and venues
  • approve any changes to casino licences
  • hear appeals against decisions
  • hear complaints about how DIA has handled a complaint
  • advise the Government on setting the problem gambling levy.
